Plot for Pixar's 'Toy Story' Short Released

Part of the reason I love Pixar films as much as I do is because of the amazing short films played in front of each feature.  They're always so poignant, heartfelt, and just as beautiful as the film they precede.  The best way I can describe it is like being able to eat the pumpkin pie before you dive into your Thanksgiving dinner.

Recently, there have been a few reports about Pixar's next short to debut before the release of Cars 2 in 2011.  The first stated it would be Toy Story-centric and the second that it would be in Hawaii.  Well today, the plot of the short was released and the previous reports weren't all that wrong.  I kept real news after the jump to avoid spoilers, so check it out below.

Bonnie is off to Hawaii, and Barbie and Ken are excited to go along on their first tropical vacation! But when they’re accidentally left behind, it’s up to Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys to create a Hawaiian paradise right in Bonnie’s room.

I know it's been a long holiday season for most and in case you can't remember back to this summer or you're one of the 6 people in the world that didn't see the latest Toy Story and decided to forgo my warning, here's a little refresher.  Bonnie is the cutest little girl in the world and now the proud owner of everyone in the Toy Story gang after Andy took off to binge drink in college.  And, thanks to her, the gang didn't have to split up.

As for the plot itself, I love it.  The Pixar people will pull it off effortlessly and it will be a great little epilogue for the toys.  I honestly wasn't planning on seeing Cars 2 this summer, as it is my least favorite of the Pixar collection, but with this short attached I guess I'll be shelling out another $13.
