What do you get when you combine Steven Spielberg to direct, Peter Jackson to produce and Edgar Wright to help pen your script? An animated feature film that looks simply amazing. Don't believe me, check out the new trailer for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn at the end of this post.
In the best animation I've seen to date, we have a story of a young man named Tintin (Jamie Bell) who teams with his loyal dog (Snowy) and a sea captain, Haddock (Andy Serkis) in search of treasure. Many explorers have scoured the Earth for this treasure but failed, but Tintin has the map. Only problem is, Sakharine (Daniel Craig) and his goons will stop at nothing to seize this map.
Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) also lend their voices to characters in the film.
This 3D adventure looks like tons of fun, and as I mentioned before the effects are stunning. Captain Haddock appears to provide the comedic relief in this one. The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn will arrive in theaters right before Christmas (December 21st).
