A Sneak Peek of 'The Dark Knight Rises' Before New 'Mission Impossible'?

I was already debating whether or not Mission:Impossible - Ghost Protocol was going to be a theater trip, and if the rumor that is spreading like wildfire today turns out to be true, it may just push me over the edge.  Supposedly, the 6 minute opening sequence from The Dark Knight Rises is playing before M:I in IMAX theaters someone reported to /Film.  

That is not an option for me really anyway, unless I want to travel, and I'm not really a roadtripper anymore.  But if I were, or there was an IMAX reasonably close, yeah, it would definitely push me over the edge to see M:I, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.

Over the weekend I had a Mission: Impossible marathon.  The original Mission:Impossible, I mean, I forget how much I like Brian De Palma, so much fun to watch his work, then there is the less than impressive Mission:Impossible II, I don't want to rip on John Woo, but I think he was a phase, and then there is J.J. Abrams contribution to the series, Mission: Impossible III, clearly the favorite.  Abrams and his buddies, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci wrote the script.  Based on the strength of III and the fact that Abrams is producing Ghost Protocol is why I'm on the fence, if someone else from his crew would have also signed off on it, it might have made the theater more enticing.  Regardless of theater or video it is going to be fun watch, been a fan of Brad Bird's for a while now, so it will be interesting to see.
