Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:06PM Outstanding New Trailer for 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'
It's incredibly rare to see a sequel that looks better than the original. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows could be the first film to outdo its predecessor. Don't believe me? I've included the new trailer for Guy Ritchie's follow-up mystery adventure to prove it.
The trailer has it all: Improved action sequences and more of them, including those killer slow motion shots. Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) behaving weirder yet handing out more beat downs this time around. Watson (Jude Law) filling the sidekick role to perfection again. And Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) proving to be a villain who is clever and dangerous enough to outwit Holmes.
Lucky for us this Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is right around the corner, will arrive in theaters on December 16, 2011. I regretfully didn't see Sherlock Holmes at the theater, so I absolutely will not make that same mistake this time.
Rachel McAdams, Noomi Rapace and Eddie Marsan co-star in this brilliant looking sequel.

This looks like it has the ability to be better than the first! With Stephen Fry and Jared Harris it seems like it may have a more classic feel like the TV series directed by Steve Pervin that came out in the 50's. Although they don't have quite as much action, the high level of anticipation and mystery are surely present.
