Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:52PM 'Arrested Development' To Come Back To TV?
Arrested Development was possibly one of the funniest shows on televison at the time it was released and it possibly still is. Since it's cancellation in 2006, people chanted and demanded for a movie. Well, since we have gotten news of a film to be for next year people were satisfied. So was I, especially since everyone involved in the show will be involved in the film. Now, we have word of the show coming back to television.
Yes you read that right, Arrested Development is coming back to TV. However, only for a nine or ten episode prolog, says series creator Mitch Hurwitz during a Q-and-A at the New York Film Festival, to set up the film. That would be awesome. I'm finally going to get my wish, more episodes to the short lived series. The series last left off where the series began, on a boat with a family member getting arrested, only this time is was Lucille Bluth (Jessica Walter) instead of George Bluth (Jeffery Tambor). So the question is how the series reboot will begin, maybe Lucille is getting to see the light of day?
Arrested Development starred Jason Bateman, David Cross, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Jeffery Tambor, Jessica Walter, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, and was narrated by producer Ron Howard. So how do you feel that Arrested Development is coming back to tv? Personally, I'm psyched.

says who?!?
Thanks, Dan Novak, I didn't realize that I didn't put who stated the info.
I loved these characters and this show but I'm afraid they wont be able to reignite that spark they had so long ago.
I think the short TV pro-log is a good idea but if that tanks or the chemistry isn't there anymore then they will likely bury the movie idea once and for all.
I think with such talented and funny actors they'll be able to make it work.
I agree, they'll definitely use the TV show as a way to gauge the possible success of a movie.
Great post! Thanks a lot!
