It's been 3 long years since Clint Eastwood was in front of the camera for Gran Torino, one of many amazing movies he also directed.  The legendary filmmaker may make a triumphant return to acting in his producing partner's, Robert Lorenz, new baseball film Trouble with The Curve, Deadline reports.  In Lorenz's directorial debut, Eastwood will play "an aging baseball scout, who is losing his sight, and heads on a last road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to scout a hotshot prospect."

This project will likely fill the void that was created when Beyonce became pregnant halting production on Eastwood's next film A Star is Born.  However, Lorenz has served as assistant director on many of Eastwood's projects, so maybe it's time he return the favor by starring in Trouble with The Curve.

The Warner Bros. production might just be the kind of break the consistently busy 81-year-old director needs.  Seriously, the legendary Eastwood always has one or two movies coming out each year.  

Maybe I'm just being selfish in wanting to see one of the all time great movie performers acting again.  Clint has always been my favorite bad ass old timer in movies, and I miss seeing that.
