Amanda Seyfried a big reason why 'In Time' suckedThere are a handful of actors in Hollywood who are just plain terrible with each performance, yet he or she somehow keep getting bigger and better roles. Amanda Seyfried, who single handedly made a very bad In Time movie almost impossible to finish watching, falls into that category. Yes, her performance was that unbearable.
Seyfried is now in talks to play infamous pornstar Linda Lovelace in one of two upcoming biopics about the adult film star-turned-porn activist, whose life ended in tragedy, according to Variety. The other Lovelace centered film, Inferno will star Malin Ackerman who replaced the originally attached leading lady Lindsay Lohan. Kate Hudson and Olivia Wilde (such a better choice) were previously rumored to be up for the role of Lovelace, which is soon going to end up in the hands of Seyfried.
The script for this Lovelace story is based on the Eric Danville book "The Complete Linda Lovelace." Peter Sarsgaard is reportedly closing in on starring as Lovelace's abusive husband Chuck Traynor, a pornographer who was also her pimp. This is the same role Matt Dillion will play in Inferno.
Much to my disappoint, Seyfried will likely land this part soon. I feel kinda bad for disliking her as an actor, but I haven't been impressed with her performances in anything I've seen her in. From Alpha Dog to Chloe to Red Riding Hood to this most recent role in In Time, she's still hard to watch.
Both Lovelace films will come out sometime in 2012. Guess which one I'll be more inclined to see?
