I never would have thought a commercial could scare me so much. I'm talking about the meth commercials directed by Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream director, Darren Aronofsky. The campaign is held by the Meth Project and their new set of ads really does the job of, not only raising awareness, but scaring the public about the dangers of methanphetamines to the users and the innocent bystanders indirectly. Check out the rest of the ads after the jump. They are graphic but you need to watch them.

It may seem like what I'm about to say is cliche but drugs are bad. Excuse my lack for a better term at the moment but most people don't realy know the dangers of drug abuse, until the deadly consequences are within inches from their face. It's sad really that people, really teenagers, don't know the dangers of meth, and I'm glad to see that Aronofsky has showcased what meth does to its victims in a creative and exploitive way.
If you haven't seen Requiem for a Dream, I recommend that you check it out. If these ads disturbed you a bit then the film will disturb you even more because you start to like the characters depsite their choices.
