She did this mostly by downplaying the role that she is playing in the film and praising the original screenplay by director Fede Alvarez, saying, "Because the director’s draft was really scary, I tried to stay away from some of the big horror set pieces.  I didn’t wanna mess with his vision, because he’s the one who ultimately has to shoot it."  She went on to say that she wouldn't have felt comfortable working on it if Evil Dead creator Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell had not been producing on it.

Alright, that makes me...slightly less skeptical. At a basic idea, this project just seems poorly conceived.
