Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 7:23AM Farrelly Brothers, A-Listers Spoof DC Heroes with 'Movie 43'
Finally an SNL style movie is headed our way, though the subject matter is kind of a surprise. Turns out the Farrelly Brothers (Bobby & Peter) will join forces with other directors, comedians and actors to spoof DC Comic Books most famous faces in the upcoming movie titled Movie 43, Coming Soon reports. In this segment style spoof comedy, Brett Ratner, Bob Odenkirk, Elizabeth Banks, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis and many more will lend a hand in poking fun at these super heroes and their after hours lifestyles.
For instance, the Farrellys have produced a segment that features heroes like Superman, Wonderman and Batman attending a speed-dating event, with biggest joke of all being that The Flash isn't in attendance. My writing is probably downplaying just how funny this movie could actually be, but check out the IMDB roll call sheet for yourselves and see how much talent they were able to recruit for this spoof before you judge to harshly.
Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts and Gerard Butler will also chip in with performances in this one. Ultimately, some segments will fair better than others.
Movie 43 is set to arrive in theaters sooner than I would've guessed, April 13, 2012. Count me in!
