Denzel as a villain again? I love it!
We have the first trailer for an action flick I've been anticipating for a while now. The new movie is Safe House and stars Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds and a great supporting cast in Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), Vera Farmiga (Source Code) and Sam Shepard (Black Hawk Down).
Here's a quick synopsis from IMDB, if you're unfamiliar with the premise:
When a CIA-operated safe house is targeted by a group of bad guys, the facility's house-sitter (Reynolds) is tasked with the dangerous job of moving the criminal (Denzel) who is being hidden there to another secure location.
And as rad as I thought this movie was going to be initially, the trailer for it is amazing. If you're a fan of action films, this trailer has all the right ingredients, plus it features one of the best songs from the recent Kanye West and Jay-Z collaboration as the soundtrack.
Denzel looks like he absolutely kills it in the villain role again, Training Day being his other evil masterpiece. It'll be nice to see Reynolds in a good movie for a change as well.
