Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:09PM Red Band Trailer for Hockey Fights Comedy 'Goon'
Seann William Scott as Doug "Thug" Glatt
Have you ever heard the amusing phrase "I went to a Fight and a Hockey game broke out"? If so, that's exactly what you can expect to see in the new comedy Goon starring Seann William Scott as Doug "Thug" Glatt, a struggling dude who is offered a contract to play minor league hockey solely based on his ability to beat the shit out of his opponents.
Doug quickly earns a reputation as team tough guy, until he catches the attention of the league's most notorious, intimidating enforcer Ross "The Boss" Rhea played by Liev Schreiber. This dream showdown ultimately determines who's the true bad ass player.
The script for this hilarious looking Happy Gilmore on ice movie was written by Jay Baruchel (who also plays Doug's best friend) and Evan Goldberg, who previously co-wrote unforgettable comedies like Pineapple Express and Super Bad with his buddy Seth Rogen.
The combination of Seann William Scott's comedic talent and the writers behind it make Goon look like a can't miss comedy. Did I mention the trailer below is a Red Band? Now you too can see why this movie will likely leave us all in tears of laughter when it comes out on March 30, 2012.
