Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 10:08PM Movie Theater Texting Video Parody: Starring Patton Oswalt

Remember during the summer when Alamo Drafthouse made a particular "anti-texting" video for moviegoers? Well, Patton Oswalt and Jason Reitman certainly do and they've given us a quasi-parody of said video for our enjoyment and consideration. Apparently, both "Reitman and Oswalt made this video while visiting Alamo South Lamar for a sneak screening of Young Adult."
In a very hilarious bit, Patton Oswalt has done some incredibly mirroring, where "his voice performance word for word with [the video posted below], which was originally posted by the Alamo Drafthouse when an angry customer left a voicemail for them after being thrown out of the theater for texting. What makes the above video so amusing is that Oswalt follows her script, right down to the inflection and occasional mispronunciation of certain words."
All I have to say is, "Please don't talk or text during a movie. Nobody needs to spend $10-15 on a movie ticket to be distracted by electronics." That's not a moviegoing experience, no matter how you put it. Also, the video is funny, just not as funny as Alamo Drafthouse's original video PSA.
I believe at the end of the day, Patton Oswalt and Jason Reitman wanted to remind to go see Young Adult. Any of you got an incentive to see the film because of this PSA?
Young Adult is directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. Starring Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt and Patrick Wilson.
