Monday, December 19, 2011 at 7:32AM Will Ferrell's 'Casa de mi Padre' Trailers

The funniest movie star in Hollywood will soon dominate the foreign comedy department too. We can see some of the results now with a new trailer for Will Ferrell's Spanish language movie Casa de mi Padre. In typical GTBP 2-for-1 fashion, I've included the first trailer for the film since the newest one is only a 30-second teaser.
Matt Piedmont (Funny or Die, SNL) directs Ferrell as Armando Alvarez, a man who is trying to save his family's farm in Mexico amid a war with a local drug lord. Not your typical Will Ferrell vehicle, but it still looks hilarious, subtitles and all. Semi-familiar faces in Diego Luna (Milk), Gabriel Garcia Bernal (Amores Perros, The Science of Sleep) and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) co-star in this daringly bold comedy, which according to the first trailer (below) has it all.
The newest trailer is incredibly brief, which is a shame for anyone who didn't see the original trailer for Casa de mi Padre. As a Ferrell enthusiast, who laughs at seemingly everything that comes from his mouth, I'm chomping at the bit to see this one and am not going to bitch about having to read subtitles to get my Ferrell fix.
Casa de mi Padre comes out on March 16, 2012. Of course, I'm not sure if it'll have a wide theatrical release or not. Tough call. It's not everyday you see Will Ferrell speaking Spanish for 90 minutes.
