Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 4:20PM Charlize Theron's Role In 'Prometheus'

So there's this trailer for this movie coming out, called Prometheus. Never heard of it? Well, it's a prequel to the 1979 film, Alien. It looks pretty awesome and stars Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Wilson, Idris Elba, and Charlize Theron and is directed by none other than Ridley Scott himself. Check it out after the jump.
Great!, Now you're caught up.
But this is not what I came here to tell you. Total Film had sat down and discussed with Charlize Theron about her role in the film and this is what she had to say:
"I play somewhat of a villain in it. She’s not a believer. She’s not a scientist. She is the red tape that everyone has to go through... She’s working with the company that’s sponsoring this whole thing and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act. She’s more quiet thunder."
Interesting, right? From her description it seems as though she plays out like the villain for the first two acts of the film but essentially her intentions, or agenda, proves reputable. What do you guys think of her statement? Does anyone agree with me or am I missing something that only you know? Leave it in the comments below.
As a bonus, the folks over at IGN posted a 'Rewind Theater' for Prometheus, which is an over analysis of the trailer. Enjoy and tell us your thoughts on it.
