Now that the disappointment of a night known as The Oscars are over, The Social Network star Andrew Garfield can move on to more important things. Like climbing walls in tights. We've already seen some pretty bad-ass promo images (like the one above) of our new Spider-Man, or as most Oscar viewers would know him as the cute guy sitting behind Nicole Kidman. And now we've got our first candid photos of the star in costume on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man.
There's little to no action in the photos below, but they do give us a better idea of what to expect from Garfield's portrayal of the superhero.
While some other sites are bashing Garfield for being too skinny to fill out the suit in these photos, I personally love that he's a little on the scrawnier side here. I mean Spider-Man isn't Superman. He's not supposed to be yoked. He's just a high school kid that gains these powers and doesn't really know what to do with them. I think Garfield's physique here will make the age and Peter Parker-ness of this character more believable while still paying off in Spider-Man's agility.
The other things we can take away from these photos are that even Andrew Garfield enjoys craft services, it was cold in LA during filming, and sometime during the film Spidey is either held up at gunpoint or is pantomiming Taio Cruz's song 'Dynamite'.
