Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 4:47PM Funny New Trailer for 'Ceremony'
If you've seen the hilarious, yet incredibly weird movie Gentlemen Broncos than you already know who Michael Angarano is. This young and upcoming star appears to have come into his own in the new romantic comedy Ceremony, which also stars Uma Thurman.
Angarano plays Sam Davis, a young man who crashes the wedding of the older woman, Zoe (Thurman) that he loves. Zoe plans to marry a famous documentary filmmaker named Whit Coutell played by Lee Pace.
Ceremony was written and directed by newcomer Max Winkler, and will be his debut feature film. In addition to Angarano and Thurman, the supporting cast of Pace and Jake M. Johnson look to have contributed hilarious performances in this movie. Pace, in particular appears to steal the show as the arrogant and bizarre filmmaker.
It's seldom that I'm interested in seeing a romantic comedy on the big screen, but this movie looks like a funny coming of age story. Plus I love comedies that are full of uncomfortable moments that make other movie goers squirm, like when a young man interrupts a wedding to profess his love to a woman who is about to marry another man.
Ceremony will arrive in theaters on April 8, 2011. Here's the trailer.
