Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 5:07PM New 'Friends With Benefits' Trailer

I gotta admit, I didn't really have a lot of hope for the Justin Timberlake/Mila Kunis buddy-sex romp Friends With Benefits. When FWB and its sister film No Strings Attached were both announced, I knew one would be a solid entry into this generation of comedy flicks and the other not so much. I mean our world simply couldn't handle two films with the same plot to be good, it would implode (or something like that). So when I had a chance to check out both films' trailers, I was leaning heavily towards Natalie Portman's experimentation with NSA to be the better film. And then I saw it... And thought, so both are going to suck.
That was until today when a new theatrical trailer for Friends With Benefits was released. And it is funny. Really funny.
What we get here is Timberlake and Kunis continuing to flex their comedic muscles, Woody Harrelson continuing his fantastic comeback tour, and writer/director Will Gluck continuing to bring the heartfelt comedies of the '80s into the pop-culture obsessed present. I finally had a chance to check out Easy A over the weekend (yes, I know I'm behind), and if I had gotten to it sooner I would have definitely given Gluck and Friends With Benefits the nod over NSA a long time ago.
