We finally have our first official Stooge to join the Farrelly Brothers The Three Stooges movie, according to EW. If you're not familiar with the old TV sketch comedy show MadtV or the sitcom $#*! My Dad Says, then you probably don't know funny man Will Sasso, who has been selected to play Curly in the upcoming movie.

Weeks ago there was plenty of speculation and early reports that Jackass front man Johnny Knoxville would be donning the famous bowl haircut of Moe in the Stooges, but the Farrellys were quick to shoot down those rumors. Instead, the brothers have opted to use a relatively unknown actor, who is a dead ringer for Curly appearance wise in Sasso.
I like the decision to go with an unknown actor as opposed to stars like Jim Carrey, Benicio Del Toro and Sean Penn who were previously linked to The Three Stooges casting rumors.
Apparently, the Farrellys plan to break up the film into three, 27-minute segments, like three back to back episodes led by the physical comedy of the Stooges. Production is scheduled to begin next month, so we should count on seeing casting announcements about who will be picked to play Moe and Larry soon enough.
I've only seen Sasso in a non-comedic role in an episode of Entourage, so I have no idea what to expect from him as Curly. Is he a good pick for the part? Who should Fox choose to play Moe and Larry?
