Mildly Amusing New Trailer for Rainn Wilson's 'Super'

It's odd that Rainn Wilson is absolutely hilarious as the quirky weirdo Dwight Schrute on NBC's The Office, but has seemingly failed to transfer that comedic talent to the big screen.  His new super hero inspired flick, Super, co-starring the charismatic cutie Ellen Page, Kevin Bacon and Liv Tyler  just might be his ticket to landing more promising roles in the future, especially if it's a hit.

In Super, Wilson plays Frank, a man whose wife (Tyler) leaves him for a seductive drug dealer (Bacon), and as a result of that heartbreak, Frank creates the alter ego of a super hero for himself called the Crimson Bolt.  As the Crimson Bolt, Frank fights or tells crime to "shut up" with the help of his trusty sidekick Boltie (Page) and his ability to wield a wrench. 

Honestly, I don't think Super looks nearly as funny, dark or clever as the similarly styled movie Kick-Ass, so I'll probably wait to watch it on DVD.  The first trailer for it is decent, and maybe the movie will look more appealing to others than it does to me.
