Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 5:05PM 'Bill and Ted 3' Still Moving Forward

Last October we told you that during an interview with MTV, Keanu Reeves said he was interested in making Bill and Ted 3, and that he was talking to producers and co-star Alex Winter to get the ball rolling.
Now, MTV spoke with Reeves for an update in which he replied, "The writers are six weeks away from a draft." Reeves also noted that the plot will be tied to Bill and Ted 2 saying, "When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened, so they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."
This film has nostalgia written all over it and sure enough, if they keep costs to below $20 million (last one cost $10 million), this project will be ripe for any studio to pick up. There's still a bunch of Bill and Ted fans out there and some who are just curious if Reeves can still pull it off.
Only time will tell.

I guess I always thought that "God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You" at the end credits of Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey was the song they were supposed to write... just my personal assumption, I guess.
I'll be there to see it for sure if this ever comes to fruition. My only concern would be that I'm not sure if today's teenagers see those films as nostalgic like I do, or just hokie.
I agree, but given that the last film did $40 million, they should have no problem beating that.
Good work! Your post is an excellent example of why I keep comming back to read your excellent quality content that is forever updated. Thank you ! Why not have a look at this bmw of mobile ?
I am a ghostwriter of this movie. However I have not been paid yet from the studio. They do not have the final screenplay draft. Looks like they are going to make the lesser version of this movie, mistakes included. Just letting you know beforehand that what they are planning on making is not that good compared to the final version.
Back to the Future was rewritten and the fist version was pretty lame. The time machine was made out of a refrigerator and to time travel it needed to have a nuclear bomb detonated. I included this idea in the new Indiana Jones movie as a joke. It is not like anyone cares about writers anyways! I have no reason to write movies/TV etc. anymore.
If you want to see the better version of this film, you will need to convince the studio to pay the writer. I know its a novel idea to get paid for the work that one does, but it just seems right.
Back to the Future and the Bill & Ted's movies are by the same writer in case you don't know that by now. I put many things that are from Cache Valley in both sets of movies. Here is a partial list. (Bill) Preston, (Ted) Logan, Clock Tower Plaza, Blue Bird restaurant, Twin Pines Condos, North Cache Bulldogs, Preston Indians from A yellow poster hidden at 57:12 in BTTF. Use a search engine to look up and confirm this information for yourself. You can also find BTTF title on page 298 third book HP, but that is a different story.
I don't want to hear any complaints about how bad the movie was afterwards, because most people were to lazy to write a simple letter! This is a chance to make a difference and maybe change the way writers are treated in Hollywood.
