With recent news that Zach Galifianakis has dropped out of Robert Schwentke's ( Red ) action comedy adapted from the comic book R.I.P.D., it is reported that another bearded star is in talks to join the cast.
R.I.P.D. stars Ryan Reynolds as a recently slain cop who teams up with other dead officers to form the Rest In Peace Department. Reynolds plays Nick Cruz who is on a quest to find out who murdered him. It seems as if Galifiankis was to play his partner who has been hunting down killers for 100's of years. With Zach not being able to join the cast, I am excited to say that Jeff Bridges may be taking the role. This should be a great role for Bridges, bringing his laid back personality and his acting chops to the film. There is no set date for this film to get off the ground, but I am excited about it.
