Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 2:03PM Zoe Saldana Brings Out Her Inner 'Hanna' in the New Trailer for 'Colombiana'
One thing is for certain, the newest female driven action flick Colombiana looks a hell of a lot like Hanna. But, since Zoe Saldana is so hot and the Colombiana script comes from Leon: The Professional , The Fifth Element and Taken writer Luc Besson, I'm willing to look passed the obvious similarities between the two films.
I wasn't able to find a movie poster for this story of a young woman who witnesses her parents get murdered in Bogota as child, only to grow up and become a lethal assassin, so the picture below will have to cut it for now.
Colombiana is directed by Olivier Megaton (Isn't Megaton a Transformers character?) whose last movie was the Transporter 3, also written by Besson. Cliff Curtis, Michael Vartan and Jordi Molla co-star in this violent tale, which reminds us far too many times in the trailer to never forget where we came from. Proof that movies can teach us all important life lessons.
Colombiana will arrive in theaters September 2, 2011. Enjoy the trailer.
