Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:32PM Jason Bateman May Join Vince Vaughn in 'The Insane Laws'
So what's The Insane Laws about? It's a comedy about two best friends who grew up together but their kids fall in love with each other with Vaughn's daughter becoming pregnant and of course, hilarity ensues. The film will be directed by Jeremy Garelick who also wrote The Break-Up.
Jason Bateman has a good working relationship with Vaughn as the two have been in films before in Dodgeball, The Break-Up and Couples Retreat, so it's no surprise that he's at the top of the list. Deadline reports that the actors have done the walk-through and read the script so it's just up to Bateman to sign on the dotted line.
Vince Vaughn needs a hit to revive his once fledging acting career. He has produced some big stinkers such as The Dilemma and he needs a good film to get back on track. That being said, Jason Bateman will also need to get back on track after The Change-Up releases. The plot just seems to tired and cliche, I have very low expectations. However, Bateman's Horrible Bosses film looks funny.
Only time will tell.
