Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 8:04AM The Debut Poster of Paul Rudd as 'Our Idiot Brother'
I've always thought of Paul Rudd as one of the kings of subtle comedy, and am stoked to see him finally get the opportunity to carry his own comedy. On August 26, we'll get to see him bring out his inner burn out hippie in the movie Our Idiot Brother.
Today we'll just have to settle for the first poster from the film, which shows Rudd as sort of a Jesus lookalike.
The poster is nothing to write home about, but it does show some of the quirkiness I expect to see in the movie. I love the catch phrase too, about how everyone has an idiot brother or in my case a stepbrother, who shall remain nameless.
It's been a few weeks since I last saw the trailer, so I'm pleasantly reminded by the poster that a trio of hotties (Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer and Elizabeth Banks) co-star as Rudd's character Ned's sisters in Our Idiot Brother.
Rudd won't have to play the backup funny man in this one, like he has previously in the movies I Love You Man, Role Models and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. He'll be the starter this time and he definitely deserves it.
