Arguably one of the greatest producer/directors in the game, Steven Spielberg, is looking to add another chapter to the Jurassic Park library, and is in talks with writer Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Posiedon) to pen the revival reports THR. Director Joe Johnston (Captain America, Jurassic Park III) has been in talks for years to direct, but that is all anything is at this point.
The box office numbers show a steady decline in the franchise, but still well over the production cost making the bottom line still fairly attractive, and for Spielberg well worth the gamble. I would think with the way that guy can generate buzz by just showing interest in a project, Jurassic Park 4 should easily make its money back, especially since ticket prices will more than likely be in the 3D price range. There was no mention of 3D in the article, but one can only suspect that Spielberg would use all of the tools at his disposal to make those dinosaurs as terrifying and as fun as possible.
It will be interesting to see the direction this film takes. It would be fun to see the dinos get off the island chain, yet tough to make that jump from island to mainland believable, even Hammond knew not to conduct his research on the mainland. To see a 'villain' other than the raptors emerge would also be interesting, but time will tell as this project evolves.

There's different directions they could go. The idea is to reboot. Turn it off, turn it back on and it comes back up in a way that's fresh. They've got the elements that always have appeal - who ISN'T interested in DINOSAURS. They're the pizza of story elements, everybody likes 'em. As long as you make them well. They've got an island where they keep 'em, somebody goes there and has an adventure - y'know, they start from that. They could have a story about spies tryin' to steal their secrets, they could do a story about soldiers going there to stop them because the dinos are getting out. How 'bout it turns out they went ahead and got everything finished with Jurassic Park as an amusement park and everything is going great with lot's of people going there and them BAM! something goes wrong and the dinos are loose. I mean there's just all kind of things they can do. There in the 90's it was overkill maybe with those movies and there was too much media and merchandising with them, so maybe now that there's been some space between all that and now, maybe it IS the time to revive the dinosaurs again
I really do like the shear openness of where the this could go, and I really like the idea of a functional park where things just go awry. The novels were picked apart wonderfully to create the films, particularly the original having a lot of elements in all three films, especially 3 including the aviary.

Spielberg has done such a great job with this movie. It was so much action in this movie which was so good to see. You cannot go wrong with it at all. Bankruptcy Mississauga
