New 'Final Destination 5' Poster

Are you ready to see the poster for the most anticipated film of this year?  Yeah, well your reading the wrong article.  Final Destination 5, which is scheduled to release on August 12^th, has found a motif in its promotional campaign.  Like the first two posters, a skull is at the center of attention with foreign objects going through it.  Now, I know the Final Destination film posters had skulls on them but I think this is the first time objects are shown penetrating them.  The skulls were just used to show the audience of certain characters supposed demise. 

 

I think this poster may allude to the big opening on the bridge, as seen in the first trailer.  What would have been cool would've been an online exclusive poster in which this poster is in 3D, like what was done with Saw 3D; the metal pipes moving closer to you, the bits of skulls flying around, now that is something their marketing team should think about.  The poster gives me a sense of no-holds-barred, in-your-face (literally) deaths. 

Final Destination 5 is directed by Steven Quale (second assistant director for Avatar) and is starring Nicholas D’Agosto (Rocket Science), Emma Bell (The Walking Dead tv series), Arlen Escarpeta (Friday the 13th (2009)), David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy), Courtney B. Vance (Hamburger Hill), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (The Bold and The Beautiful), P.J. Byrne (Dinner For Schmucks) and Tony Todd (Candyman).
