Today we've got pictures, courtesy of IMDB message board user The Film Stage from the set of my favorite writer/director Wes Anderson's next project titled Moonrise Kingdom. Anderson (pictured below with Bill Murray) is responsible for making great films like the Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Life Aquatic, The Royal Tenenbaums and my #1 film Rushmore.
Moonrise Kingdom is the story centered on a pair of lovers that flee their hometown, which prompts a local search party to go out and find them. And now I present to you the three onset photos (not the best quality) below.
The first one features Edward Norton playing a scout leader.
The next has Murray, not in film wardrobe pictured with two unknown young men (extras maybe?).
The final image gives us a look at a campground, which shows a '65. I assume Moonrise Kingdom takes place in the past, circa 1965.
The film boasts Anderson's most impressive cast list to date (Owen Wilson & Jason Schwartzman appearances are a given): Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, Norton, Murray, Tilda Swinton and a ton of child actors. Moonrise Kingdom is currently filming and expected to be released in 2012.
