Friday, July 1, 2011 at 3:08PM 'Wonder Woman' to 'GI Joe' Adrianne Palicki Tries Again
No, this wasn't the front cover of a package of a Halloween costume. This was Palicki as Wonder Woman.
After her pilot for Wonder Woman TV series got laughed off by studios and audiences for its ridiculous costume, Adrianne Palicki will play the role of Lady Jaye in the GI Joe sequel. Lady Jaye I'm sure will sport a less colorful and more sexy military outfit which should bode well for her.
This is a major upgrade for Palicki, as till now she's known for her role in Friday Night Lights, the TV series. Going from the small screen to the big screen is often viewed as advancing in the right direction. However, casting for the movie continues as they decided to not carry over many of the actors from the original.
Dwayne Johnson is casted an Roadblock, and there's a rumor that Bruce Willis might be casted as Joe Colton, who is the Joe in GI Joe. They will close their cast list in the next several weeks as production date is very soon to meet a 2012 release date.
Personally, not a big fan of GI: Joe. There are so many other better known action properties being made or remade as a movie that I'm not that particularly excited about this one. Maybe if I see a trailer...
