Monday, July 11, 2011 at 8:10PM 'The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn': New International Trailer

An ambitious film that's grand in scale and a few chuckles spread here and there and what do you have? A Steven Spielberg film using motion-captured technique of a children's classic comic book, that film is The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn and we have a new trailer. Check after the jump.
Now, is it just me or do they still look eerie? I'm very aware of the Tintin-lore, but it comes off as creepy especially in the eyes. That's not to say that it doesn't look magnificent and more than likely to please the fans and a new audience. I just hope that this film won't suffer the same fate as a Robert Zemeckis film.
"Though the bloom has well worn off the rose that is motion-capture animation, as evidenced by Disney canceling their deal with the mo-cap obsessed Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg is planning to make a go of it anyway with this December's The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. He worked on the project in secret for years, and finally gave us a brief look at how the stylized animation turned out with a domestic teaser trailer back in May."
The film is presenting a panel at this year's Comic-Con and is set to be released nationwide 23 December 2011.
The film is directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish based on the comic books "Le secret de la licorne" and "Le trésor de Rackham Le Rouge" by Hergé. The film stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis and Daniel Craig.
