Don't let Jeremy Wynia's baseless dislike for Colin Farrell get the best of you, the dude is a great actor and the Total Recall reboot will be amazing. Thanks to the crew at Entertainment Weekly, I can show you the first official pic of Farrell's character Doug Quaid/Hauser from the set of the $120 million project.
First let's cover the bases wtih a brief synopsis of the film from TheFilmStage, just in case some of us have forgotten the new premise.
Welcome to Rekall, the company that with one little implant can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Doug Quaid, the mind trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his ordinary existence. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. With the line between fantasy and reality blurred and the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Quaid goes on the run to discover his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.

I wonder if this similar to the scene in the original where Arnie escapes the chair, before having his brains scrambled. I'm excited for this one, so you can expect more updates from Total Recall as we get closer to the August 3, 2012 release date.
Hopefully, we can soon post some pics of hottie co-stars Jessical Biel and Kate Beckinsale, as well pics of Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston as Quaid's adversary in the film.
