Leave it to Comic Con to unearth a bunch of super cool movie news all at once. One of the best highlights being when Edgar Wright announced he'll be writing a new movie with Simon Pegg (below w/ Nick Frost & Wright) soon, according to cinemablend.com.
"Me and Simon Pegg are going to start writing next month," Wright said. Unfortunately, half of the amazing duo behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz wouldn't elaborate any further about their next movie. We can probably count on Frost being involved in this third project as well. Woohoo!
Wright also confirmed that the newest draft of the script for Ant Man, he co-wrote with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) was submitted this last Monday, and that he's also seen some concept art of the Marvel superhero.
My only question is which movie will come first, Ant Man or the one with Pegg? I think the majority of fans would prefer to see what Wright and Pegg come up with next, before another comic book movie lands on the bigscreen.
I can't wait to read about their next project when the details become available, and see if these two comedic gurus can go 3-for-3 on writing another brilliant masterpiece together.
