Trailer To 'Valentines Day' Sequel 'New Year's Eve'

I am ashamed to admit that I did actually enjoy Valentine's Day, but my enjoyment was minuscule; if that could save me from having my man card revoked.  The film wasn’t well received by critics and even GTBP gave it 2 Damn Dirty Apes and I understand why.  Now, a trailer has been released for the sequel, New Year's Eve.

My first thought when watching this trailer was “why?”   There isn’t really a need to make a sequel to a film that barely made double it’s production budget in the US.   It looks exactly the same as the first with some of the same actors playing different roles with some new additions including Abigail Breslin, Chris Bridges, Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Carla Gugino, Lea Michele, Halle Berry and more centered around December 31st instead of Febuary 14th.  Meh.

Doesn’t look any good but I think I might give this one a chance and watch it when it comes out on DVD or Blu-Ray or maybe a lazy Sunday when it’s on the Netflix instant queue.  The giant cast includes Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Jessica Biel, Sofia Vergara, Alyssa Milano, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ice Cube, Jon Bon Jovi, Seth Myers,  Til Schweiger and Sienna Miller.  This debacle is just the latest from director Garry Marshall and will release on December 9th, 2011.
