Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 5:06PM Will Arnett Gets Our Hopes Up

Earlier this month Jeffrey Tambor mentioned that the long awaited Arrested Development movie was finally happening, but that has been talk for a good long while now, but in a podcast a few days later, Will Arnett seconded that motion, and unless I'm wrong, that makes it a law and therefore has to happen (I know I'm wrong). If it doesn't happen Arnett is going to have some explaining to do for getting all of us loyal fans hopes up, those of us that have watched the series a dozen times and still aren't tired of it, and continue to find subtle jokes. The Skip Church Sunday morning/Miss Temple Friday night jokes are among my favorites.
Arnett mentions that Mitchell Hurwitz (Creator/Writer) is developing something that we aren't going to expect, which is vague and cryptic, but I like it that way. Keep us in the dark and surprise us with brilliant ridiculousness. So far it looks as though Hurwitz is attached as the director, but this is one that I was hoping Paul Feig would get the chance to direct when the time finally came.
Hurwitz and Arnett recently worked on a short lived TV show Running Wilde that had flashes of brilliance, not Quincy, but wasn't the caliber that Arrested D was, still I would have liked to have seen the first season through, but when the ratings aren't there the ratings aren't there. Maybe Hurwitz was too preoccupied by thoughts of Arrested D to devote his time fully to writing Wilde.
Here's to hoping it all isn't just some elaborate illusion.

This is such a great and funny movie. There is nothing better then this. The actors in the movie are so good. You will love it when you see it. insulation orlando fl
