Looks like Ben Stiller's streak of shit movies continues its rampage adding the comedy Tower Heist to the growing list, coming out November 4, 2011. The worst part is he somehow convinced talented actors like Casey Affleck (the other Affleck) and Michael Pena to join a cast with a couple of 80's movie has beens in Eddie Murphy and Matthew Broderick. Throw in the name of director Brett Ratner, and now Tower Heist really sounds awful.
Stiller stars as one of a handful of working stiffs, who get ripped off by their wealthy boss (Ponzi scheme style), and hatch a plan to rob the high-rise residence of this boss. Wow, I guess comedy and robbery flicks haven't been done to death! My bad.
It's truly a sad state of affairs when you can tell an upcoming movie is going to suck balls before seeing any footage or pics from it. I used to be a huge fan of Eddie Murphy back in the day, but now when I see his name attached to any movie it's an automatic red flag. I'm always hoping his next part will be a good one, and before watching this trailer I was optimistic.
Those high hopes vanished within seconds, even before Murphy's mug appeared in the preview.
