Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 4:06PM Shia LaBeouf Says No to Future 'Transformers' Sequel and he has "Nothing to Contribute"
Shia LaBeouf is ready to move on. I guess he doesn't want to be forever known as the guy in the Tranformers films but I think it's always good to be known for something that nothing at all. Harrison Ford is still known to this day as the guy in Indiana Jones despite the fact that he's been in a ton of other great films. I personally don't think it's a bad thing. It's certainly better than doing a bunch of $50 million at the box films where only your hardcore fans know who you are.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Transformers star Shia Labeouf was asked if there will be sequels to the franchise and if he will star in them. Here is what he had to say:
Just kidding. What he really said was:
"I'm done..I'm sure they'll make more of them, it's still a very hot franchise, there's still value in it. I think people will still go to see it. I just don't know if I have anything to contribute. I love making them. I love the crew, I love Michael, I love the cast, I love [the character] Sam. I like doing it...I don't have anything new to contribute.
So he doesn't have anything to contribute. That's an odd way to say that the role doesn't challenge him anymore. If you're the main star of the film, you're contributing plenty. Anyway, I don't think he's going to get away that easy unless they were planning to reboot the series after this one.

I think this is his way of saying these movies are shitty and he doesn't want to be in them anymore. I'm probably just putting my own words in Shia's mouth though.
