Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11:05PM Adam Sandler As Dracula In 'Hotel Transylvania'
Hotel Transylvania, the new animated picture from director Genndy Tartakovsky, who directed episodes for some of the greatest cartoons of my generation such as Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, and Star Wars: Clone Wars, has just picked up Adam Sandler to voice the lead of the film.

The film is about classic monsters, such as Dracula, Frankenstein and his Bride, and the Mummy, hiding out in a hotel in Transylvania because of being made completely irrelevant by technology; sounds pretty hilarious.
Hopefully, with the announcement of the voice cast, the film could be hilarious. The cast list includes Kevin James, David Spade, Molly Shannon and, of course, Adam Sandler. Sandler is set to play Dracula, an overprotective father of a teenaged girl and owner of resort made for monsters.
James is voicing Frankenstein and Fran “The Nanny” Drescher is voicing his bride. David Spade is set to play Quasimodo who is now a chef and possibly sarcastic if Spade makes him his own. Molly Shannon along with Steve Buscemi are voicing Wanda and Wayne respectively. The duo is a pair of married werewolves parents to a growing litter.
This will be Sony Pictures Animation’s eighth theatrical release after Monster House, Open Season, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and this year’s Smurfs movies and Arthur Christmas. Hotel Transylvania is set to open on September 21, 2012.
