Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 11:28AM New Trailer for 'Texas Killing Fields' is Full of Homicide & Suspects
The murder mystery Texas Killing Fields stars Sam Worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (pictured below) as a pair of homicide detectives, one from NYC, the other a local, caught up in the biggest case of their careers. The killing fields are a reference to the Texas City bayous used as a dump for dead bodies (gross).
The two detectives are brought together to work a series of unsolved murders in the area that they assume is the handy work of the same serial killer, who eventually flips the script on the detectives and begins hunting them. The case becomes personal for the cops when a familiar local girl (Chloe Moretz) goes missing.
The film, directed by newcomer Ami Canaan Mann, is inspired by a true story and has a formidable cast: Morgan, Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Moretz, Stephen Graham and Jason Clarke. It looks to have the same gritty murder mystery feel of David Fincher's Se7en , and I bet it'll be a solid movie.
Texas Killing Fields will arrive in selected theaters this fall, October 7, 2011.
