Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:11PM Jason Segel Gets Role in Judd Apatow's 'This is Forty'?
It's a truly sad state of affairs when the Facebook page of Megan Fox is used to break a story, but it is what it is. Fox, who has a starring role in Judd Apatow's Knocked Up spin-off This is Forty, spilled the beans on the popular site that funny man Jason Segel will join the cast of the upcoming comedy using this provocative picture of her with Segel and Bridemaids standout Chris O'Dowd.

The photo's caption reads "On set of THIS IS 40, with Jason and Chris...Two very handsome, very tall, VERY funny men." Fox and O'Dowd are currently attached to the project, making Segel the new addition to a familiar cast which includes Apatow favorites Leslie Mann (his wife) and Our Idiot Brother star Paul Rudd. Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids), Albert Brooks, John Lithgow and Robert Smigel are also signed on for This is Forty.
The comedy centers on the couple, Debbie (Mann) and Pete (Rudd) as they raise their two daughters and deal with the pros and cons of married life. They'll be revising their characters from Knocked Up, so it's possible we could see the likes of Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl (doubtful) or Jay Baruchel resurface again for the follow-up.
This is Forty is slated to arrive in theaters on June 1, 2012. For future updates on the new comedy come to GTBP first, and then proceed to Megan Fox's Facebook page.
