Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 7:11AM Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe in 'My Week with Marilyn' Poster

Michelle Williams takes on the daunting task of portraying America's most famous sex symbol, the late Marilyn Monroe in her next film My Week with Marilyn. The movie isn't a biopic of Monroe's life, but rather a highlight of the actresses' days on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl and the strained interaction between her and co-star Sir Laurence Olivier, played by Kenneth Branagh.
The story of this off-screen feud is told from the perspective of Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), an employee of Olivier, from a documented account of everything he witnessed go down between the two stars.
Here's the first poster for My Week with Marilyn released by BBC Films yesterday. I'm curious to see how Williams does in this role, as it seems like one which could be destined for a Best Actress Oscar nomination.
My Week with Marilyn was filmed by Simon Curtis and co-stars Branagh, Judi Dench, Emma Watson, Dominic Cooper (The Devil's Double) and Julia Ormond. It will arrive in theaters on November 4, 2011, so be on the look out for a trailer soon.
