Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 8:58PM Reese Witherspoon May Pair Up With Matt McConaughey for 'Mud'
First, you're probably wondering, what the heck is Mud? Mud follows a fugitive who becomes friends with a 14 year old boy and the boy helps him in the con game. Reminds me a bit of Matchstick Men but there's a love component to this story which may be played by Reese Witherspoon. Juniper is the con's soulmate and the boy also assists him in getting together with her.
It's an interesting story which will be helmed by Jeff Nichols who was also behind Take Shelter. Compared to anything he's done in the past, if Witherspoon and McConaughey signs up for the film, it'll be the biggest movie he's ever done.
If McConaughey does take on the role, one thing is for certain. He will take off his shirt once or maybe even twice in the film. As for Reese Witherspoon, it might be tougher to sign her given her quota is around $15 million.
