Soon to grace a theater near you is Steven Soderbergh's thriller Contagion. Pumping up the virus-driven plot of many thrillers that have passed before, with this excellent cast backed by Soderbergh’s directing is looking to be one of the better films of the dwindling summer season transitioning into Oscar season. Two new TV spots for Steven Soderbergh's Contagion have been released from Warner Bros. Pictures. See after the jump.
Here's a quick synopsis of the film:
Contagion follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.
Contagion will be released 9 September 2011 in regular and IMAX theaters. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film stars Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.
