We've all seen the trailer and know the basic premise of the Final Destination films, but it still amazes me that the producers/writers/directors still find something new to show us. Whether that's a big explosion or the collapse of a bridge, as seen in Final Destination 5 directed by Steven Quale, we still get the ominous adult who speaks of death as if they've faced it which is extemely tiring to constantly hear in every film. It now seems like these "deaths" are less complex (and convoluted) with more emphasis on the simplicity of daily moments where Death can get us, which to me is more hair-raising. Here's a quick synopsis of the film:
In Final Destination 5, Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man's premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death's sinister agenda.
Final Destination 5 will hit theaters 12 August 2011 in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D. The film is directed by Steven Quale and stars Nicholas D'Agosto, Emma Bell, Arlen Escarpeta and Courtney B. Vance.
