Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 7:06AM Ben Stiller And Disney To Remake Documentary

When I hear of a documentary, I immediately have to check it out. Documentaries capture something that actors rarely present on screen and that's real life raw human emotion and soul. Now, Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfield are working with Walt Disney Pictures to 'remake' Quantum Hoops, according to Deadline.
Quantum Hoops is a sports documentary about the worst (and the smartest) college basketball team ever. The film follows the Caltech University baskeball team and their journey to win a single game after a 21 season dry spell. I'm a bit disappointed that I missed this film because it sounds interesting and looks entertaining.
Check out the trailer:
How does one remake a documentary? It's just a fictionilized version of the story depicted in the original. Moneyball writer Stan Chervin will write the script. Don't know if I like the idea but I'm open to more information in the coming year(s).
