A 'Top Gun' 3D Movie Cruisen to a Theater Near You?

Thumbs up or the finger to a 3D Top Gun in theaters?I feel the need, the need for speed!  Forgive me, I'm just delighted to learn that Top Gun will be back in theaters again, only this time in 3D style.  Maverick, Goose, Ice Man...Oh boy!

HeyUGuys (another great movie quote) reported, the announcement for a planned movie was made at the International Broadcasting Convention this morning.  No release date has been set, but the work on the 3D conversion has begun.  

One of my favorite childhood movies, Tony Scott's masterpiece, which starred a then young hot shot named Tom Cruise is back!  The fighter jet battles, the beach volleyball, Maverick's rivalry with Ice Man (Val Kilmer) and the slow and silhoutted lovemaking between Cruise and Kelly McGillis are all going to be epic in 3D.

I know a Top Gun remake or sequel is possibly in the works, but a 3D upgrade of the original is far more exciting to me.
