The Original 'Ghost Busters' Coming Back to Theaters on Halloween

Finally good news about the Ghost Busters that doesn't involve an ill-advised/Bill Murray-less third installment.  The hit film, originally released in 1984, will arrive back in theaters again in time for Halloween, according to Digital Spy.  That's not all, the movie has been digitally-restored for this one night only release.

Should be a trip down memory lane for some of older folks, watching the great trio of Mr. Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis  together again (no offense to Ernie Hudson).  Not to mention, seeing the hilarious Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver get possessed in search of the Key Master.  Slimer!  The Stay Puffed Marshallow Man!  Crossing streams with the proton packs!  Woohoo! 

I just really, really hope this isn't used as a publicity stunt to gauge interest in a Ghost Busters III.  You know the new one Aykroyd and the studio have been pushing for years?  Doesn't matter, I won't see it.
