Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2:21PM Jason Bateman Says 'Arrested Development' Shoots in Summer 2012

Jason Bateman can't go anywhere or talk about his other movies without the topic of Arrested Development coming up. Good! If not for the lovable sitcom, Bateman would probably best be known as the kid from Teen Wolf Too. Arrested Development put him on the map, and we want to see the movie. Can't say it's his fault though.
At a recent UK interview for The Change-Up, Bateman was asked about the forward progress of the Arrested Development movie.
Bateman said the movie will most likely begin shooting next summer in 2012, which could mean a winter or spring release date for the Bluth and Funke driven comedy. Though he did let one juicy bit of insider info slip about possible big name cameos appearing.
"From what I understand, the concept of the film will lend itself to quite a few really good cameos, I'm going to bring my autograph book," Bateman said.
We already saw big stars appear on the show: Charlize Theron, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ben Stiller and Zach Braff to name a few. Bateman must be implying much bigger stars will appear in the movie.
Regardless of the cameos, I just want someone to come out and confirm the movie is being made for sure. The fan demand for Arrested Development is definitely high enough to warrant a movie getting the greenlight at some point, of course that didn't stop the series from getting cancelled.
So an Arrested Development movie possibly shooting summer 2012? I want official annoucements to get excited about. Who's with me?
