Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 7:20AM Screenwriter Max Landis Very Enthusiastic About 'Frankenstein' Script

Max Landis, son of An American Werewolf in London director John Landis, is writing the script for the newest big screen take on Frankenstein for Fox. The film will be helmed by Real Steel director Shawn Levy, which excites young Landis as you'll see in the interview below. He does admit to having had reservations about Levy directing the horror film at first, until he learned about Levy's vision for the project.
Landis was asked about his plans for the Frankenstein script on the red carpet at the recent premiere of Chillerama in L.A. His enthusiasm for the project made for an entertaining interview, especially when he sets the record straight about Igor's role in Frankenstein.
I'm not a fan of Levy's previous work or about him being attached to direct. However, I'm intrigued about Landis penning the script. He's clearly done his homework and knows exactly what he wants the film to accomplish. It's hard not to get excited about a project like Frankenstein, when you see how excited the brains behind it are.
