Monday, September 19, 2011 at 8:04PM First Trailer for Clint Eastwood's 'J. Edgar' Starring Leo

The first look at the Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio collaboration, J. Edgar is finally upon us. The debut trailer of the J. Edgar Hoover biopic was released earlier this evening, and the film looks sensational. We shouldn't be shocked if and when Leo earns an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of America's most famous law enforcement agent. His performance looks that impressive.
The script was written by Dustin Lance Black (Milk), and tells the true story of J. Edgar's 50 year career of keeping America protected and safe by any means necessary, sometimes bending the law to do so. Sadly, behind closed doors the man held secrets that would've destroyed his life in every way.
Eastwood's film surrounds Leo with a talented supporting cast in Naomi Watts, Armie Hammer, Judi Dench, Josh Lucas, Lea Thompson, Ed Westwick, Dermot Mulroney and Stephen Root.
Historical biopics always do well at the box office and during awards season, so I suspect J. Edgar will follow suit in those regards. The film arrives in theaters November 9, 2011.
Enjoy the trailer.

I think Leonardo will surely get a nomination for an Academy Award. I think he’ll get a Oscar nomination at least. He is incredible and he is amazing. And I think he will get it. It’s an incredible performance, just wonderful.
If this doesn't bury all the whiners about him since 'Titanic' then we'll know they're just whiners.
