In our next featured trailer, Sam Worthington stars as a Man on a Ledge. Nick Cassidy (Worthington) is an ex-cop turned fugitive, because he's framed for stealing a diamond. However, the diamond was actually stolen by Ed Harris.
Cassidy decides to stand out on a ledge as a would be jumper, leaving his younger brother Joey (Jamie Bell) and sidekick (Genesis Rodriguez) time to clear his name by breaking into a bank vault to prove said diamond was never stolen. Meanwhile, the lovely Elizabeth Banks is the NYPD police pyschologist that tries to talk Cassidy off the ledge.
This one reminds me of the Inside Man, only it looks far more predictable. That's largely due to the fact that the trailer seems to reveal far more than it should about the plot. Man on a Ledge can't wait for DVD, or just jump.
Man on a Ledge is the feature film debut of director Asger Leth, and will arrive in theaters on January 13, 2012.
